'Made for Joy', that's the Mayamiko moto and thats why we want to extend the inclusion of our ranges to even more shapes, sizes and identities - to spread the joy a little further. We're ready to bring you a Mayamiko Menswear range but what would make it even better is involving our community. If you're a designer, a creator or know someone who might be, get involved in our latest competition! It's a chance to see your designs created in Mayamiko, in an ethical workshop and social enterprise with a strong mission out of amazing unique fabrics. We source our prints from women owned cooperatives in Lilongwe and this could be the place to help your designs come alive. We will help you develop your designs, have them made in Malawi where we will source the fabric and you may even get the chance to help style our shoot when the garments land in the UK! So what are you waiting for?
If you've got the drawing skills or flair to match its also a fun way to win £500 , but most of all it's the chance to make something you can be proud of #madetolast. Hopefully the winner will also start the ball rolling for an expanding range of fits, so we can bring Mayamiko to even more people!
To enter, send your designs of 1 short sleeved top, 1 long sleeves and 1 pair of trousers (plus shorts for a bonus) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can't wait to see what you create!
Women's sizing at Mayamiko is in line with UK standard sizing. When in doubt or if in between sizes, we recommend going one size up, as the fabric is not stretchy and the fit is snug. You are also welcome to contact us for individual product queries, and we'll do our best to help!
