Say hello to Mayamiko's women of the month. At only 18 years old, Mikaelle Assani is making moves. Born in Pforzheim Germany, her mum moved from Cameroon just two years before and has remained a positive driving force in her successful career to date. Mikaelle is an athlete who started track and field at 11, 4 years later she came 4th in the German U16 Championships in long jump and has since been slowly moving her way up the ranks, winning the U20 German Indoor Champions long jump just last year. Her next step is to start a degree, still training and all the while modelling on the side. Chosen by the creative agency StyleARTistic to showcase our latest collection for a street style shoot, we were shown some new ways to wear this years top prints. We also got to know this young motivation a little bit more. You should too!
Mayamiko: When you get a chance to get dressed up, how would you describe your style?
Mikaelle: I like dressing up a lot because it gives me balance in my sporty life. I would describe my style as a mix of my sporty and model side. So if I wear something tight I try to break this sexiness a little bit with a cool and casual piece.Gold Leaf Print Milkmaid Mini Dress (Coming Soon)Who inspires you?My mother inspires me a lot because she's a modern woman that goes with the trend and can handle every situation. She's really a powerful woman. What do you like to do when you're not training? In my free time, when I don't have to work, train or model, I like to meet my friends and sing and dance if there is any possibility! What are you studying and what do you think will be the biggest challenge, starting your Bachelors?I am going to study biological systems engineering at the University of Nebraska. I think the biggest challenge will be to combine my sport and my studies. But I am always up for a challenge!
